Dupont Nylon 612 Bristles

DuPont Tynex® 612 Nylon Filament Product Characteristics

Premium-quality Tynex® filaments, the result of DuPont’s advanced research and engineering,
meet the most demanding requirements of brush makers and consumers for toothbrushes and
personal-care brushes of the highest quality.Significant benefits and extra values are:

Surface Finish
DuPont’s proprietary finish enhances tufting efficiency and productivity. This finish complies
with United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.

Packaging
The diameter consistency of DuPont’s paperwrapped hanks meets or exceeds the stringent
requirements of new autoload toothbrush machines.

End-Rounding
High quality materials and precise process control give optimum end-rounding performance.

Color Uniformity
Pigmenting technology and special colormeasuring methods maintain close color tolerances.

Caliper Uniformity
DuPont technology and high-precision laser micrometers assure maximum control of filament diameter.

Chemical Properties
Tynex® 612 nylon filaments are not affected by chlorinated solvents, such as carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, trichlorethylene; petroleum hydrocarbons, such as gasoline, benzene,
naptha, toluene, kerosene; ester solvents, such as butyl acetate, amyl acetate; or detergents,
such as soap, trisodium phosphate, trisodium phosphate-soda ash.

Tynex® may become limp in contact with methanol or ethanol, but will regain its original stiffness after evaporation of these solvents.Other alcohols have little or no effect on
Tynex®.Tynex® is more resistant to attack by acids than many other brush filling materials. However, acids may cause some degradation of Tynex® depending upon the nature and concentration of the acid and the conditions under which the filaments are used. Before using Tynex® with acids, it is recommended that tests be made under conditions which may be expected in actual use.Tynex® filaments are attacked by phenol and chemically related compounds.Effect of Moisture Tynex® 612 nylon filaments absorb small quantities of water. The effect of this water absorption is a temporary decrease of stiffness and bend recovery while they are wet. This effect is compared below with commercial Nylon 66.

End-rounding performance is unsurpassed using Tynex® nylon filaments. DuPont’s proprietary extrusion process and optimized 612 nylon polymer provide superior results using conventional toothbrush making equipment. In this magnified toothbrush tuft, note the smoothness of individual ends in this scanning electron microscope (SEM) photograph of Tynex® 8 mil
(0.20 mm) diameter natural color nylon filament.Water absorption Tynex® 612 Nylon 66
50% relative humidity 1.4% 3.2%
100% relative humidity 3.0% 9.0%

Resistance to Fungi, etc.
Tynex® 612 nylon filaments are resistant to attack by rodents, insects, and fungi, and thus
may be safely stored for long periods without damage.

Effect of Temperature
The properties of Tynex® 612 nylon filaments are not permanently affected by continuous exposure to temperatures up to 65°C (149°F).They do become slightly degraded on long exposure at high temperatures. For example, they begin to show a slight loss in strength after several months at 100°C (212°F); and after days at 180°C (356°F)—all in the presence of air. Melting point for Tynex® is approximately 212°C (412°F). Extended exposure at 150°C (302°F) in an inert atmosphere has no lasting effect. Continued exposure to steam, especially in the presence of acids or bases, will gradually weaken Tynex® filaments.

Ordinary Toothbrush VS Denson Toothbrush

Ordinary Toothbrush VS Denson T-shape Toothbrush

Ordinary Toothbrush (Front Teeth)
As commonly known, the correct method of brushing teeth is from up to down. With an ordinary toothbrush, moving up and down to clean the front of the teeth, is unable to balance its movement of brushing, It is also difficult to control the speed. As a result, the hand gets tired and the time of brushing is reduced. Therefore, it is impossible to clean the teeth thoroughly with one directional brushing.

Multiway Toothbrush (Front Teeth)
T-SHAPE of Denson Toothbrush can brush the front of the teeth freely and evently from up to down. It can clean the teeth more effectively up to 99% according to evaluation and experiments.According to experiments for many users. It can even remove plaque.

Ordinary Toothbrush VS Multiway Toothbrush

Ordinary Toothbrush (Rear Teeth)
An ordinary toothbrush is impossible to clean the rear of the teeth. This is because the design of the ordinary toothbrush disable from up and down brushing the rear of the teeth more freely and evenly. It can only brush the rear of the teeth from left to right, therefore the majority of teeth decay is always from the rear of the teeth.

Multiway Toothbrush (Rear Teeth)
T-SHAPE of Denson Toothbrush can brush the rear of the teeth freely and evently from up to down.Tooth decay usualy occur at inner part and rear of the teeth. This tooth can solve this problem.Meanwhile It can effectively remove all the stains from the rear of the teeth.

From time to time, there are many toothbrush product in the market with different shape and design but none of them are created in T-shape.only Denson does.

Visiting The Dentist

Visit your dentist regularly for a complete dental checkup that includes an oral cancer exam. This is equally important for people who wear complete dentures. Oral cancer doesn’t care whether or not you have natural teeth.Oral cancer is more common than you may think, and older adults may be at a greater risk.As with other cancers, early detection saves lives. And dentists are the most skilled at detecting oral cancer early as a part of every routine checkup. Open sores, white or reddish patches, and other changes in the lips, tongue and lining of the mouth may be signs of oral cancer or other potentially serious diseases. You should contact your dentist if any of these conditions last 14 days or longer.Your dentist can also evaluate any problems that your medications may create for your mouth. Saliva is one of our most precious natural resources for good oral health throughout life. Dry mouth is often an unwanted side effect of many important and life- saving drugs that are commonly taken by older adults. Common medications that cause dry mouth are:

• High blood pressure medications, such as water pills

• Cholesterol lowering drugs

• Pain medications, sedatives and muscle relaxants

• Anxiety, depression and most other psychiatric medications

• Allergy and asthma medications

• Seizure medications

• Medications for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases

If you have dry mouth, talk to your dentist about ways to reduce the symptoms and maintain good oral health, for example, using an over the counter mouthwash or spray that can help moisten your mouth.

Bring these to your dental checkup:

-An up-to-date list of your medications including vitamin supplements

-An up-to-date list of your medical conditions and allergies.

-Information about your health care providers, including all of your doctors and their phone numbers and your previous dentist (if applicable).

-Information about your emergency contacts.

-Your dental insurance or Medicaid cards.

-Your dentures or partials, even if you don’t wear them.

Making Smart Choices

The right food and beverage choices is good for your entire body as well as for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.Take more fruits and vegetables for example.Eat more food with calcium.

Drink plenty of water. Consuming optimally fluoridated water throughout life helps prevent tooth decay no matter how old you are. If you choose bottled water, check the label for the fluoride content. Or, contact the company if the fluoride content is not shown on the label and ask what level of fluoride the water contains. Talk to your dentist about what’s best for you.

Quick smoking. Smoking increases problems with gum disease, tooth decay and tooth loss, affects healing after dental procedures and retention of dental implants.Smoking leave stains on teeth too that affect your appearance. There are tobacco cessation programs, over-the-counter products and prescription medications that your dentist may prescribe or recommend that can help you quit.

How To Take Care Of Your Teeth

Brushing with the correct method with correct toothbrush and flossing your teeth
is just as important now.As it was when you were younger. Making the choice to
practice good oral hygiene at home every day will make a big difference in how you look and feel.

Brush your teeth twice a day with an MDA-accepted fluoride toothpaste. Choose a correct toothbrush ,brush with the correct method to avoid wearing away your enamel and damaging
your teeth and gums. Here is the correct way to brush your teeth.

Clean between teeth daily with floss or another interdental cleaner. Floss holders are designed to make it easier to use floss between your teeth. Special interdental cleaners, such as picks, brushes or sticks may also work effectively for you. With T-shape toothbrush everything solved.

Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles become frayed.A worn toothbrush will not do a good job of cleaning your teeth Bacteria stick to your teeth and also to full or partial dentures. If you wear dentures, cleaning them on a daily
basis is very important.

• Generally, dentists say to take your dentures out of your mouth for at least four hours every day. It’s best to remove your full or partial dentures at night. To stay healthy, the lining of your mouth needs to rejuvenate after prolonged contact with dentures. Your own dentist will provide you with instructions about how long your dentures may be worn each day.

• Denture cleaning products like denture cleansers and overnight soaking solutions, help keep dentures fresh and clean.

The Mouth/Body Connection

There is a connection between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. Bleeding gums, visible root surfaces and loose teeth are not normal at any age. These are usually signs of
an infection called periodontal (gum) disease. Increasing medical evidence suggests that an unhealthy mouth may worsen serious medical problems, like heart disease, stroke
and diabetes. Simply said, we know that oral health is important for overall health and vice versa.Periodontal disease is caused by the bacteria in dental plaque, which if not removed through daily tooth brushing and flossing, results in red or swollen gums that bleed easily.
If plaque remains on teeth too long,a hard deposit called tartar or calculus forms. This deposit is removed by your dental hygienist or dentist when your teeth are professionally
cleaned. Left untreated, periodontal disease can destroy the gum tissues and bone around your teeth and eventually teeth can be lost. Periodontal infections can be serious
and can affect not only the mouth, but potentially your overall health.

Research has shown, and experts agree, that there is an association between periodontal diseases and other chronic inflammatory conditions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, treating inflammation may not only help manage periodontal diseases but may also help with the management of other chronic inflammatory conditions.

When an inflammatory condition is suspected or diagnosed, it is important to consult with both a general physician and a dental health professional, such as a periodontist. Sometimes the only way to detect periodontal diseases is through a periodontal evaluation. A periodontal evaluation may be especially important if you:

  1. Have a high risk for periodontal diseases. Take the AAP risk assestment test.
  2. Have heart disease, diabetes, respiratory disease or osteoporosis, or are thinking of becoming pregnant.
  3. Have a family member with periodontal disease. Research suggests that the bacteria that cause periodontal disease can pass through saliva. This means the common contact of saliva in families puts children and couples at risk for contracting the periodontal disease of another family member.
  4. Have a sore or irritation in your mouth that does not get better within two weeks.

Why Good Teeth Is Important?

better than ever.

Your teeth are never too old to be repaired or replaced too. If you don’t maintain your natural teeth or replace teeth that are lost, your overall health can suffer. If you’ve lost some or all of your natural teeth, your dentist can make removable dentures, but they aren’t the only way to replace missing teeth anymore.Dental implants are a new option that many older adults are choosing. Maintaining well-fitting dentures, partial dentures, bridges or implants will help you eat right, feel better, and look great .
